Hannah is one of the lucky dogs rescued from a heartbreaking situation involving an elderly veteran who simply wanted to help homeless dogs. Over the years, what began as an act of kindness grew into more than 60 Labrador-type dogs, and it became impossible for him to care for them all. Working alongside another rescue, we stepped in to help, giving dogs like Hannah the second chance they so deserve.

Now safe in a loving foster home, Hannah is thriving. She is approximately 2 years old, 60lbs and appears to be an English Labrador Retriever, with the stockier build and shorter legs that make English Labs so lovable.

Hannah has been living with other dogs, cats, and children, and shes done wonderfully with everyone. She has a sweet, gentle personality and is enjoying all the love and attention that comes with being part of a family.

She is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on all of her veterinary care, and ready to find a forever home. After everything shes been through, Hannah deserves a family that will love and cherish her for the rest of her life.

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.

The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.

NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.

If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
