Diamond is a sweet 3-year-old West Highland Terrier (Westie) and a rescued breeder mama who is ready to spend the rest of her life being pampered, cherished, and loved. Like many breeder dogs, Diamond is timid around new people and unfamiliar situations. But beneath that cautious exterior is a gentle soul who wants love more than anything. Once she realizes she's safe, she quickly warms up and happily soaks up all the affection she can get. Diamond is a low-energy girl who is perfectly content to spend the day snoozing—as long as she's close to her favorite person. She hasn't quite figured out the joy of toys yet, but she's beginning to show interest as she continues to discover what it's like to simply be a dog. She's making progress with potty training and already understands that outside is the place to go. With patience, consistency, and a predictable routine, she should continue to do very well. Diamond is learning to live with other dogs in her foster home. While she doesn't always enjoy sharing her person's attention, she's beginning to understand that sharing doesn't mean there will be any less love for her. She hasn't been introduced to cats or children yet. Diamond has spent her life giving to others. Now it's her turn to be someone's beloved companion.
