Meet jill

Update 7/16/2026

Meet Jill ("Jilly Bean")

Jill is a goofy, sweet, and incredibly endearing 10-month-old Great Pyrenees mix who is absolutely thriving in her foster home. Affectionately known as Jilly Bean, she keeps everyone smiling with her silly personality and love of playing with her canine friends.

Jill has conquered crate training and potty training and is making great progress with her leash skills. She also completed a professional behavioral evaluation due to her shyness, and the results were very reassuring—there were no behavioral concerns. Jill simply needs time to build trust with new people. For some dogs that's a few weeks, and for others it may take a few months. She is worth every bit of that patience.

Jill truly shines when she's around other dogs. In fact, the more canine companionship she has, the happier and more confident she becomes. Because of this, Jill requires a home with a securely fenced yard and at least one confident, playful resident dog.

While Jill enjoys being near her people, she prefers to move at her own pace. She'll happily follow you from room to room, quietly watching and wanting to be part of the family, but she isn't ready to jump into your lap on day one. It's very important that her adopters allow Jill to decide when she's ready for physical affection. Once she knows she's safe, she continues to blossom.

As a Great Pyrenees mix, Jill will let you know when something catches her attention, and she can have a stubborn streak now and then. Thankfully, she's very food motivated and responds beautifully to positive, patient training.

Jill isn't a high-energy dog—she's simply a playful one. Her perfect day includes wrestling with her dog friends, chewing on her favorite toys, taking long naps, and relaxing near her family. Once her leash skills are fully developed, she'll likely enjoy leisurely hikes and adventures, but she's just as happy spending time at home with her pack.

If you're looking for a loyal companion and understand that the best relationships are built on trust, patience, and letting a shy dog come to you, Jilly Bean may just be your perfect match.

must have another playful confident dog, securely fenced in yard. No children under 12.
