This handsome 1-year-old, 35-pound Australian Shepherd mix is full of personality and can't wait to find an active family to call his own.Muffin came to us as a stray, so we don't know much about his past. What we do know is that he's an incredibly friendly dog who gets so excited to meet people that he can hardly contain himself!Here's what we've learned about this happy boy:🐶 Great with other dogs🐱 Good with cats👧 Good with kids🚽 Potty trained—he'll even head to the door when he needs to go outside!❤️ Loves people (so much that he sometimes "happy piddles" when he's extra excited!)Muffin is still polishing up his manners. He can pull on the leash, gets excited enough to jump—especially if food is involved—and has a funny habit of picking up his food bowl. Like many young dogs, he'll benefit from continued training and consistency, but his eagerness to please makes him a wonderful candidate for learning.One thing is certain—Muffin LOVES to run! Whether it's zooming around a fenced yard or joining you on outdoor adventures, this active boy is happiest when he has room to stretch his legs.While at the shelter, Muffin especially enjoyed spending time with another shelter dog named Bella, showing us just how much he enjoys canine companionship. If you already have a playful dog at home, Muffin may fit right in!✨ Muffin is scheduled to be neutered on Thursday, July 23, and will be available for adoption beginning Friday, July 24.
