Edna is a sweet grey Shih Tzu mix with soft, expressive eyes and a gentle, loving presence that shines through in everything she does. She arrived at Cobb Animal Services on July 7th, and at 9 years old, this sweet senior girl is ready for a fresh start and a comfortable place to call her own.

There is something truly unjust about a sweet senior dog like Edna waiting in a shelter kennel instead of settled into a home of her own. Senior dogs are so often overlooked, yet they bring a steadiness and settled affection that only comes with age, and Edna's loving nature makes that abundantly clear. Her coat and condition suggest she may not have had an easy life so far, but none of that has dimmed her sweet spirit - she is hoping this next chapter will be the fresh start she deserves.

Edna is very loving and gentle, walks nicely on a leash, and lights up for treats, showing off a sweet, easygoing temperament. She will need a bath and a fresh grooming trim to help her feel her best, which will make a wonderful first step in her new chapter. Due to her age, if Edna is not already spayed, that procedure would need to be completed with an adopter's own veterinarian rather than at the shelter.
