Stella is a smart, sensitive girl who loves naps, cuddles, sniffy walks, and spending time with her trusted people. She’s a quiet apartment dog and is fully crate trained, happily using her crate as a safe space.
Rescued at about 1 year old, Stella missed important early socialization and can be wary of strangers, especially men. She forms strong bonds and is deeply loyal, but can become protective of her favorite person in situations she doesn’t understand.
Stella has a history of bite and attempted-bite incidents related to specific triggers, so she needs an experienced adopter who understands dog body language and can manage introductions appropriately. She usually settles once she has time to hear and observe new people.
She is polite on walks, generally ignores other dogs, and prefers to mind her own business. Stella would thrive in a calm, predictable home where she can feel safe, loved, and understood.
