He is highly social, seeks out affection, and loves interacting with his handlers. During walks he stays close, walks nicely on leash, and happily checks in with his person. He's food-motivated, eager to learn, and has already shown he enjoys practicing cues like "touch." His enthusiasm sometimes leads to a few happy jumps for attention, but it's all part of his charming, affectionate nature.Behavior AssessmentMarble Swirl has earned a Behavior Assessment Level 2. He is friendly, social, and enjoys meeting new people, but can become a little overexcited and may jump up when greeting handlers. Positive reinforcement training and reinforcing calm behaviors like "sit" will help him continue polishing his manners. Because of his enthusiasm, ACC recommends a home without very young children. He has also participated in dog introductions at the shelter, and adopters should plan slow, thoughtful introductions to any resident dogs.Overall HealthMarble Swirl is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for his new family. He was recently treated for a mild upper respiratory infection (doggy cold) and is recovering well.
