Would you just look at this silly young girl?!? Talk about a heart stealer with that head tilt. She is all that and a bag of chips!!!

Sweet Pea has proven herself to be so sweet and so incredibly smart. She loves to play fetch and she adores people. She also really likes her crate. She will happily sleep in it all night long and goes to it as a source of comfort if something spooks her, like a loud noise that she isn't used to yet. (Definitely not a fan of the recent fireworks.) She is young, so be prepared for puppy energy. She definitely will need lots of exercise-time and a fenced yard to run in. But she also loves her chill-time too. She's pretty much agreeable to anything you want her to do. She also REALLY enjoys playing with other dogs, so a fence and a canine playmate are on her must-have list.

All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Sweet Pea will go to her new home microchipped, spayed, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccinations, and with all other medical needs addressed.

Almost every dog's veterinary expenses exceed our adoption fees; we are a non-profit.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia.

Since our rescue is entirely run and staffed by volunteers, our ability to travel long distances for adoptions is somewhat limited. We focus on Georgia, but if you are in a neighboring state, we might be able to work something out - we'll expect you to do your part.

DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
