Meet ferguson
At just one year old, Ferguson was abandoned and had clearly experienced abuse before coming into our care. As his foster family, we've been helping him learn that people can be kind. When he first arrived, he was terrified of almost everything. Today, he's incredibly sweet, affectionate, and the ultimate velcro dog once he trusts you. He'll happily follow you from room to room. We're teaching him to walk on a leash because he'd never worn one before, and he's a quick learner. He'd also never had a toy, so we're introducing him to the joy of play for the very first time. Ferguson gets along wonderfully with our dog and cat and doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body.
Ferguson would thrive with someone who works from home or is retired and wants a loyal companion. He loves to cuddle for hours, enjoys sleeping in bed with his person, and is also crate trained. Because of his past, he's a little shy when meeting new people, but with patience, consistency, and love, he's blossoming.
