It isn’t hard to see why he was a favorite with the shelter staff and volunteers in Georgia. With his constant smile, sweet personality, and happy-go-lucky attitude, Rocky has a way of making everyone fall in love with him. This handsome 7-month-old Lab mix (best guess) weighs about 40 pounds and is everything you’d want in a young dog—affectionate, playful, and always ready for his next adventure. He’s great with people, loves other dogs, has good leash manners, is potty trained, and is good with cats. Rocky is still a young dog, so he’ll continue to benefit from learning and exploring with his forever family, but he’s already proving what an incredible companion he’ll be. Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit.4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse $125 for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. We recommend going to HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI for the most affordable option.
