Meet gemma
We finally have Gemma, an 8-month-old Podengo, with us. She is a sweet, poor thing who is looking for a foster or adoptive home. Because she spent her life inside a rabbit-like hutch, she has splayed paws and legs; however, she gets around just fine and will likely grow to be around 35 lbs.
This poor girl was never socialized much with people and doesn't have the happy-go-lucky puppy spirit you would expect. She is so afraid that she hasn't wagged her tail just yet. She has no fear aggression—she is just horrified. Fortunately, she gets along well with cats and dogs and will do fine with respectful children.
She is looking for a foster or adoptive home that can work with her on leash walking, house training, and socialization in general. We will provide you with all of the supplies, training, and support you will need. If you are interested in fostering or adopting, you can fill out the application under the "Adopt" tab at unfurget.org.
