Meet Cobalt! 🐾
Cobalt is a big, handsome 8-year-old German Shepherd with a heart that's still learning to trust.
Cobalt came to us as a stray, scared and unsure of the world. It's no surprise he's a little cautious with new people at first — but underneath that caution is a genuinely sweet boy who just needs time, consistency, and someone willing to let him come out of his shell at his own pace.
A few things to know about Cobalt:
🎾 He's a total goofball once he's outside — playful, energetic, and clearly happiest when he's got some room to romp around.
🍖 Food motivated, which makes him a great candidate for positive reinforcement training and building trust through treats.
🦴 Cobalt shows some signs of arthritis, so a home that can offer him a comfy bed, manageable exercise, and maybe a joint supplement would help him feel his best.
🚫 He's not a fan of the leash right now — patient, gradual leash training in a low-stress way will go a long way for him.
🏡 Since he's undersocialized, he'll do best with a family who understands his background and can give him the time and structure he needs to build confidence.
