Meet rae
Rae is a 5-7 month old husky mix recently. Very sweet dog, follows you around everywhere and just wants to be with people and get as many pets as possible. She is crate trained, loves to play fetch, knows basic commands and we are working on more.
Unfortunately our older dog, an Aussie Shepard (who has previously lived with other dogs), is not warming up to her at all; this has lead to some confrontation between the animals. We are at 1.5 weeks of the 3 weeks based on the 3/3/3 method and have had no success with the two animals building a relationship.
Our plans are to meet with a behaviorist/trainer to try to bridge the relationship between the dogs but still have our concerns for both dogs in the long-term. We just want what is best for both animals and for Rae to find a loving home where she can continue to soak up the love she deserves.
