Que Pasa! Yep, that’s really my name. Before you ask, no, there isn’t some deep, mysterious story behind it. My mom just thought it was a cute, fun, slightly hippie-style name, and once she got to know me, she realized it fit my personality perfectly. I’m a happy-go-lucky kind of guy who’s always wondering what’s going on and looking for my next adventure, so “Que Pasa?” just seemed to stick!

I’m still a baby, but I’ve already packed a lot of living into my short life. My mom even did a DNA test on me, so we know exactly what I am—a Blue Heeler and Chihuahua mix. I know that sounds like an unusual combination, but somehow it works! According to my DNA results, I shouldn’t get much bigger than about 32 pounds, which is what I weigh now. I’ve got a pretty small bone frame, and honestly, some cats look like they could tower over me. But don’t let my size fool you—I’m fast, agile, and can jump higher than most people would ever expect.

I absolutely love being outside. Walks? Count me in. Exploring? Let’s go. Fresh air and adventure are definitely my thing. I also love car rides and am always happy to ride shotgun on whatever adventure you have planned.

Earlier this year, things weren’t so great for me. Someone dumped me on a cold day, and I was left shivering and scared. Thankfully, some wonderful rescue people heard about me and made sure I got somewhere safe. Not long after that, I hit the jackpot and was adopted by the most amazing mom.

She loves me very much, which is why this decision has been so difficult for her. Recently, her job changed and she’s now working six long days a week. She feels like I deserve more time and companionship than she can give me right now. Because she loves me so much, she asked the rescue to help me find a family that can give me the life she wants for me.

Now, before you start feeling too sad, let me tell you all the good stuff about me!

I’m great with other dogs, great with cats, and my mom says I’m crazy smart. I learn things quickly, pay attention to everything, and have even picked up some cat habits. One of my favorite things is riding around on my mom’s shoulders so I can supervise life from above. What can I say? I like having the best view in the house.

I’m affectionate without being clingy, playful without being wild, and always ready to make you laugh. Whether we’re heading out for a walk, taking a car ride, hanging out in the yard, or relaxing on the couch after a busy day, I’m just happy to be with my people.

So if you’ve been looking for a loyal sidekick with a big personality packed into a compact package, I think we should meet.
