Meet doree
Doree is a 5 y/o purebred Shiba Inu looking for her next loving home. I've raised her since she was 4 mo old, with my dad ("grandpa") helping share her care. As he's aged and his health has declined, we can no longer give Doree the life she deserves.
Doree is sweet, gentle, and loves both children and adults. She's deeply attuned when you're sad, and tries to make it better. Most days she curls up on the couch (or bed) looking adorable. Around 5pm she gets a small burst of energy, usually satisfied with a few throws of her beloved squeaky ball.
Doree is curious and friendly with strangers, but prefers being the only pet. She isn't a cat fan, and hit-or-miss with other dogs — calmer/older dogs can work case-by-case, but she gets anxious and reactive around in-your-face dogs, despite early socialization (daycare, dog parks). She'd thrive with a yard and an owner okay with minimal leash walks and no dog parks. Doree is a loyal, loving companion ready for her forever home.
