Hi! I’m Velma. I ended up in a shelter after my family had a baby and decided that they did not have enough time to give me the attention that I need. Luckily, AHF rescued me, and now I am hoping to find my forever home. My foster family says I’m a pleasure and fun to have around. I don’t mean to brag, but my foster mom says I am a dream dog . I am friendly, smart, potty trained, and crate trained, but I don’t need to be created because I’m very respectful of my home and won’t destroy anything while my people are gone. I’ll just occupy myself with toys or just take a long nap. Speaking of toys, they are my favorite. I love to play, especially with others. I love all people and dogs, but I’m not sure about cats. I haven’t been around them. Nothing makes me happier than getting attention and playing with my toys, a game of fetch, tug-of-war, I even like chilling in a pool and a hot day. I get very excited if you take me for a walk or for a ride the car. Since I’m a big girl I’m pretty strong and will need some help learning how to walk better on a leash. I would love an active family that has time to shower me with attention as well as cuddle with me at the end of the day. A fenced yard for me to run around in would be awesome.
