His favorite place in the world is right beside his person—or even better, curled up in their lap. Oliver is a true “people dog” who forms deep bonds and thrives on human connection.

Currently fostered in Danbury, CT, Oliver lives with a family of five, three dogs, and two cats. He has adjusted beautifully to home life and gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. While he enjoys running and playing with his canine friends, Oliver’s greatest joy comes from spending time with his humans. Whether you’re going for a walk, relaxing on the couch, or working from home, Oliver will happily be by your side.

His foster family describes him as gentle, affectionate, loyal, and eager to love. He enjoys daily walks and walks nicely on a leash. He’s happy playing in the backyard but is just as content snuggling up for movie night. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend, Oliver is ready for the role.

Oliver was abandoned when his former owner moved away, he spent nearly a year waiting in a shelter while other dogs found homes. Despite everything, Oliver has never lost his loving spirit. He greets each day with hope, gratitude, and a heart full of love to give.
