A Sato is a Puerto Rican street dog, known for being incredibly resilient, intelligent, and loyal.Maya is still adjusting to life in a home and can be timid with new surroundings at first. Everything is still very new and unfamiliar to her, so she is looking for a patient adopter who will let her decompress at her own pace and continue building confidence. Despite being nervous initially, she is already making wonderful progress in foster care and is beginning to play with the other dogs and show her happy personality.She is fully house trained, leash trained, sleeps quietly in her crate all night, and does great crated while her foster is away. Maya responds very well to treats and is eager to learn. She is also wonderful with kids and enjoys other dogs. She can be a little jumpy when excited, so she is currently working on her manners.Maya is not quite a cuddle bug yet because she is still learning to relax and trust, but underneath it all is a very sweet, happy girl who just needs someone willing to give her time and understanding.
