Meet Poncho! 3-year-old Male Pittie
Hi, I’m Poncho! Life has thrown me a few curveballs, but I’m proof that resilience and love can overcome anything.
After surviving a gunshot wound and undergoing bilateral TPLO surgery, I’m fully on the road to recovery and ready to find the forever family I’ve been waiting for.
I’m a sweet, affectionate, goofy “house hippo” who loves being with my people. I’m house-trained, crate-trained, sleep through the night (although I do snore!), and I’m learning my manners every day. I already know “sit” and patiently wait for my “OK” before eating.
Poncho’s ideal home: Fenced yard preferred Older children (I can get excited and accidentally knock little ones over) Lots of love, belly rubs, and couch cuddles
We’re told I do well with other dogs, but because of my surgery recovery I haven’t been able to be properly introduced yet.
