Meet Sparky the Electrician! Yes, that's his actual name. No, he has never wired a ceiling fan, installed a breaker panel, or shown up late to give you a quote. But he does have enough energy to power a small neighborhood, so we suppose the title is earned!

Sparky is the kind of dog who believes every stranger is just a friend he hasn't convinced to pet him yet. On walks, he's the self-appointed (muppet) mayor of the neighborhood, happily greeting everyone he meets and lighting up whenever someone stops to say hello. If attention were electricity, Sparky could keep the grid running all by himself!

This scruffy, lovable guy's perfect day includes a game of fetch, a long walk filled with quality sniffing opportunities, maybe a little chase game with a dog friend, and then a well-deserved spot on the couch cuddled up with his favorite humans. He shows his affection through enthusiastic puppy bows, happy dog kisses, and a strong commitment to always being nearby—whether that's beside you on the couch or strategically stationed under the dinner table between everyone's feet.

Sparky absolutely adores people and can get a little excited when greeting them. Occasionally he'll put his paws up to say hello, or check out what's cooking on the counter, but he's easily redirected and generally just wants to share his enthusiasm with the world. He's also been making progress with consistent training and practice, and is already house and crate trained.

What Sparky wants most is simple: people to love, adventures to share, toys to chase, and a couch to claim as his own at the end of the day. If you're looking for a friendly, affectionate, goofy sidekick who greets every day with amazement and every person like a long-lost friend, Sparky may be your guy.

And while we can't promise he'll fix your outlets, Sparky the Electrician is more than qualified to brighten up your life!

This dog is considered a mixed breed because it’s not accurate to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.

This dog is currently located at PAWS Grays Ferry clinic, which is not a walk-in facility.
