Hi! My name is Theo!
Theo is a loving, affectionate, and high-energy dog who enjoys spending time with people. He loves walks, outdoor play, car rides and putting face out the car window and snuggling. He alternates between bursts of energy and periods of rest, often curling up beside someone or sleeping on their lap.
He is accustomed to having someone home frequently and currently spends much of the workday resting in a dog bed beside me while I work from home. He also enjoys sleeping in bed with us.
Theo is still learning appropriate behaviors and would benefit from a family that can provide consistent training, exercise, and companionship.
Theo would thrive with an active, patient family that is home frequently and committed to positive-reinforcement training. Because he exhibits high-energy, puppy-like play biting and jumping when excited, he is best suited for a home with children ages 6 and older to avoid accidentally knocking over small kids.
Theo has mastered "sit," responds well to his name, and is working on "come"—especially when motivated by a few kibbles. Saying "treat" while shaking a hand with dog food is usually all it takes to get him to come inside!
With consistency, structure, and plenty of affection, Theo has the potential to become a wonderful lifelong companion!
