Meet Cali, a very sweet and gentle girl who is looking for a patient and understanding home. Cali can be quite nervous in new environments and around unfamiliar people or animals, so slow, proper introductions are essential to help her feel safe and secure.

Because of her sensitive nature, Cali would likely do best in a home without young children. Older, respectful kids who understand boundaries and how to approach dogs appropriately may be a better fit for her. She would do best with an experienced dog owner who can give her the time, patience, and consistency she needs to build trust.

Once Cali feels comfortable, her loving personality truly shines — she becomes incredibly affectionate and will happily stick by your side like glue. She’s a gentle soul who just needs a little extra time, love, and reassurance to blossom into the loyal companion she’s meant to be.

*Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee.

**Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
