Meet carbon knight the cuddle king
Looking for a 78-pound lap dog who has absolutely no idea he's 78 pounds? Meet Carbon.
If love had four legs and a wagging tail, it would look a whole lot like Carbon.
Carbon has never met a stranger in his life. To him, every new person is simply a friend he hasn't showered with kisses yet. Walk into the room and he'll happily trot right over, lean his entire body against your legs, look up with those warm honey-colored eyes, and politely request what he believes every human exists for: endless pets, head scratches, belly rubs, and affection. He's the kind of dog who melts into your arms the second you touch him.
Despite weighing in at a solid 78 pounds, Carbon is absolutely convinced he's a lap dog. Somehow...he makes it work. He'll gently climb into your lap for cuddles, wrap you in the sweetest hugs, cover you in kisses, and somehow make you forget just how big he is. He's incredibly gentle with his affection and has a way of making every person feel like they're the most important human in the world.

One look into Carbon's soulful honey-colored eyes and you'll quickly realize this isn't just a dog looking for a home—it's a best friend who's been waiting his whole life to find his person.
Carbon's amazing foster got him DNA tested, and guess what!! He's a husky/ pitty mix, with a bunch more rescue magic. He's wrapped in the softest charcoal-black coat that feels more like velvet than fur, topped with majestic ears and finished off with the sweetest smile you've ever seen.
Carbon is currently thriving in an amazing foster home, and his foster family absolutely adores him. During the day, he even gets to tag along to work—and he couldn't be happier about it. While his foster works, Carbon quietly curls up underneath the desk, perfectly content just being close to his favorite person. He doesn't need to be the center of attention; he just wants to be part of your day. That makes him the ultimate work-from-home coworker, office buddy, or loyal companion for anyone who simply enjoys having a shadow with four paws.
When he's not collecting cuddles, Carbon has a wonderfully playful side. He absolutely loves toys—especially stuffed animals—and proudly carries them around the house like treasured possessions. Give him a squeaky toy or a good bone, and you'll have one happy boy. He also loves romping around with his foster siblings, wrestling, playing chase, and showing off his goofy personality before running back over for another round of affection.
Speaking of other dogs, Carbon is an A+ roommate. He's fostered alongside five other dogs of every size, age, and personality imaginable, and he gets along beautifully with all of them. Whether he's playing with the energetic youngsters or simply relaxing alongside his canine friends, Carbon fits right in. He's social, respectful, and easygoing—but if given the choice between hanging out with dogs or soaking up attention from people, he'll choose his humans every single time.
As for cats? That's still one mystery we haven't solved! With Carbon's gentle, easygoing personality, we'd love to see how he'd do with a confident kitty friend.
Carbon dreams of a home where he'll finally have a family to call his own. A fenced yard would certainly make playtime fun, but it's the people inside the home that matter most to him. Whether you live in a house with a big backyard or a cozy apartment with plenty of walks and adventures, Carbon will be happiest simply being wherever you are.
He's not looking for perfection.
He's looking for connection.
For someone whose lap he can claim, whose feet he can warm, whose workdays he can quietly keep company, and whose heart he can fill with kisses, wiggle-butt greetings, and unconditional love.
If you've been searching for the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to love you with his whole heart, Carbon has been searching for you too.
