Meet ZANDER!Zander is a handsome 3-year-old Boxer mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. One of his favorite pastimes is rolling around in the grass, and he`s always happy to spend time playing with his beloved stuffed toys. Zander has previously lived successfully with three other dogs and enjoys having canine companions around.In the home, Zander is a wonderful companion who loves being involved in whatever his people are doing. Whether you`re relaxing on the couch for a movie night, working around the house, or cooking dinner, he`ll happily be by your side offering his loyal supervision. He also enjoys car rides and is a great passenger, making him an excellent companion for errands, road trips, and other adventures. He`s very food-motivated, loves treats, and is eager to learn, making him a joy to train.Zander loves his people deeply and forms strong bonds with those he trusts. Because of this, he has a history of separation anxiety and will need adopters who are prepared to help him continue building confidence when left alone. With patience, understanding, and a management plan that works for him, Zander will thrive in a home that can provide the love and reassurance he needs.Zander shares a special bond with our other adoptable pup, Zena. They came to us from the same home and are wonderful friends. While they are not required to be adopted together, they truly complement one another. Zena`s calm, gentle presence seems to provide Zander with comfort and confidence, and having her by his side may help ease some of his anxiety as he settles into a new home.
