Meet dylan
Dylan is a 7-year-old mixed breed with a lot of personality and a soft spot for his people. He’s crate trained, potty trained, and has a solid history with adults and older kids, making him a great match for a home that understands and respects his boundaries. Dylan can be reactive in care, especially when other dogs are reacting around him, and he’s likely to do best as the only pet since dog-to-dog introductions can be challenging for him. He isn’t a fit for homes with cats or younger children, as he can be a bit unaware of his size and prefers a calmer environment. Dylan can be sensitive to certain types of handling like nail trims, and he has air-snapped in the past when feeling uncomfortable with his space being invaded, so he’ll thrive with an adopter who pays attention to his body language and gives him time to build trust. He would be a great candidate for MHS’s post-adoption course focused on reading dog body language, and adopters will have support with that transition. With the right home, Dylan has so much potential to be a loyal and rewarding companion.
