Meet Chief, a young poodle mix with a big heart, a bright mind, and an even bigger zest for life. Originally purchased from a breeder as a puppy, Chief was well-loved in his previous home. Unfortunately, as he’s grown into a spirited adolescent, he’s become more dog than his owner could comfortably manage, and he’s now looking for a fresh start with a family ready to guide him into adulthood.
Chief is an energetic, happy-go-lucky boy who approaches life with enthusiasm. He does walk on a leash, but like many young dogs, he is still learning his manners and will benefit from continued basic training and consistency. The good news is he is house trained, which gives him a solid foundation to build from. He gets along well with other dogs and has done great with children, making him a fun potential companion for an active household.
As a poodle mix, Chief has a beautiful, low-shedding coat that will require regular maintenance. His coat will need brushing several times a week to prevent matting and tangles, especially as it grows longer. Professional grooming every 4–8 weeks is recommended to keep him comfortable and looking his best. Routine care such as nail trims, ear cleaning, and regular bathing will also be important to keep him healthy and happy.
