Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs! Updated: 6/13/26 Dog Name: Cabo Sex: Male Estimated Breed: Chihuahua Mix Approximate Age: 5 months  Litter Name: C Litter  Approximate Weight: 10 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Not yet (too young) Description: Momma Coco and her babies were saved from the streets in Texas. They had an uncertain future until a kind lady took them in!   Cabo is a sweet, affectionate little guy with a gentle personality and so much love to give! While he prefers slow introductions to new people and dogs, especially larger dogs, once he feels safe and comfortable, his wonderful personality truly shines! Cabo is looking for a patient, loving family that will give him the time he needs to settle in and become your loyal best friend. Cabo is the ultimate companion and would make the perfect lap dog! He loves following his people from room to room, always wanting to be close by for cuddles. Cabo is happiest when he's spending time with his favorite humans, whether that's relaxing on the couch or enjoying a day outdoors.     Cabo does great with smaller dogs and appreciates having time to warm up to larger dogs. He also does well with respectful children and is cat-friendly, making him a wonderful addition to many different types of homes. He's mostly housebroken, crate trained, rides wonderfully in the car, and walks beautifully on a leash, all making him an easy companion both at home and on adventures.   One of Cabo's favorite things in the world is playing fetch! Give him a ball, and he'll happily chase it all day long. He loves being outside, soaking up the fresh air, and spending time playing with his people. While he's a fun and playful pup, he can be sensitive to loud noises and would do best in a home that understands him.    If you're looking for a loyal shadow and a cuddle buddy all wrapped into one adorable package, Cabo may be the perfect match for you! Adoption Fee: $550We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. June 19, 2026, 3:11 pm
