Our shelter is open by appointment only due to Construction so you must submit the form and be pre-approved to adopt to schedule an appointment. All dogs/puppies are sterilized, vaccinated, 6 months and over are heartworm tested, examined and microchipped. The shelter also deworms biweekly and provides flea and heartworm medication monthly while the animals are in our care. Bayou is a sweet but shy boy that was dumped out in the swamp in the middle of nowhere. Thankfully he was found by an out of state resident who happened to be out touring our swamps and enjoying our unique nature. Bayou warms up quickly and love, love, loves those he trusts. He's a young boy, probably 10-12 months old. He is not housetrained and honestly has probably never lived in a home, but we think he will learn. He's 30lbs, full grown. Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms.
