Bebe is an adorable little Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix) with a tender heart and a big love for her people. This sweet girl has been through a lot — she came to the shelter after her beloved owner passed away. She was found faithfully staying by their side, and while that loss has made her a bit cautious at first, it’s also shown just how deeply she bonds.

Bebe can be a little skittish when meeting new people, and she’s still timid in unfamiliar situations. But give her a little reassurance, a soft voice, and some patience, and you’ll see her melt. Once she trusts you, she settles in beautifully and becomes the ultimate companion.

She would thrive in a quiet, calm home where she can feel safe and secure. Because she likes to alert-bark at new or unfamiliar noises, an apartment or condo setting wouldn’t be the best fit for her. She’s mostly housetrained and does best with a consistent routine.

Bebe would do well in a home with kids over 10 who understand how to be gentle and respectful. She’s fine with visiting younger children, especially when interactions are calm and supervised. She would absolutely love another playful dog to romp around with — or an active family who will happily toss a ball for her (her favorite game!). 

And when playtime is over? Bebe is a huge snuggle bug. Her favorite place in the world is curled up in your lap, soaking up all the love. She’ll happily trade zoomies for cuddles in a heartbeat.
