Ruby is a stunning brown brindle girl with bright eyes, endless energy, and the intelligence you expect from a Malinois mix. She is a typical Mal — active, alert, and incredibly smart — but she is also very sweet and affectionate once she connects with her people.

Ruby came to the shelter after her family said they had too many dogs. She arrived with a male dog and her four puppies. The family chose to keep the male, sadly leaving Ruby behind to start over on her own. Despite everything she’s been through, Ruby remains loving, eager to interact, and ready for a fresh start.

At 2 years old, Ruby is in the prime of her life. She would thrive with an active adopter who understands working-breed dogs and can give her the exercise, structure, and mental stimulation she enjoys. With her intelligence and enthusiasm, she will excel with training and loves having a job to do.

Ruby has already shown that she is a devoted and caring girl. Now she just needs someone who will choose her — someone who will give her the forever home she truly deserves.

This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
