Meet rocky
Meet Rocky!
Rocky is a 2-year-old neutered Poodle who is looking for a calm, understanding home to help him continue building confidence. He was surrendered due to moving and landlord issues, through no fault of his own.
According to his previous owner, Rocky has lived with other small dogs, though we always recommend a meet and greet to ensure a good match.
Since arriving at the shelter, Rocky has been timid and scared, but he clearly wants connection. He seeks affection from staff and has already made wonderful progress — he’s much less fearful than when he first arrived and is slowly showing his sweet, friendly side.
Rocky does have a history of fear-based aggression and has snapped when scared or startled. Because of this, we are recommending an adult-only home with someone who understands shy dogs and can provide a calm, predictable environment. He will need patience, gentle handling, and positive reinforcement to continue gaining confidence.
