Meet Honeydew!

Honeydew is one of fourteen precious puppies who entered a high-euthanasia shelter with their mama. When their mom developed mastitis, Honeydew and most of her siblings had to be bottle-fed — and this resilient girl has done nothing but thrive!

Honeydew is active, playful, and full of personality. She loves to romp around with her siblings, chase toys, and be right in the middle of whatever fun is happening. She’s also a bit vocal — she isn’t afraid to “chat” when she’s excited or wants attention — which just adds to her charm and expressive little personality.

Despite her energetic side, Honeydew is incredibly sweet. She adores her people and will happily soak up affection after a good play session. She would absolutely love a home that includes adventures — walks, hikes, outings, or just being included in everyday life. She’s the kind of pup who wants to be your sidekick.

Because she’s still young, Honeydew is at the perfect age to grow and adapt in just about any home. With proper introductions and continued socialization, she should do well with dogs, cats, kids, or as a solo pup getting all the activity and love.

Honeydew will be available for Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) on 3/6 at the earliest, with preference given to homes available between 3/11–3/18.

What does Foster-to-Adopt mean?

It means you bring Honeydew home as a foster while she finishes up any remaining vetting (such as vaccines or spay, if age-appropriate). Once her vetting is completed through our rescue, the adoption will get finalized. It’s a great way to ensure a smooth transition while we complete her medical care!
