Meet Anise

Anise is a 2-year-old Poodle mix weighing just 9.3 pounds, and she is the perfect blend of adventure buddy and couch companion.

She is incredibly affectionate and loving, and once she bonds with you, she will happily soak up all the cuddles you have to give.

This little lady is active and playful — she loves her walks and would absolutely thrive with an agility playground or enrichment activities that keep her mind and body engaged. She’s also wonderfully curious, always interested in exploring the world around her. After a good outing, though? She’s completely content to lounge and relax by your side.

Anise can be a little reactive or excitable when someone new comes into the apartment. She does best with thoughtful introductions outside first, then calmly bringing guests in — once she understands everything is okay, she settles beautifully. On walks, she’s a social butterfly who wants to meet most humans and many dogs (though she may be unsure around certain breeds, like shepherd types).

She is very sensitive and intuitive, responding best to positive reinforcement and calm guidance. She picks up quickly on body language and tone, so a confident but gentle leader is ideal for her.

Anise’s biggest challenge is separation anxiety, so she would do best in a home where someone is around often or committed to helping her build confidence when alone.

She is making progress with potty training and does best with consistency and routine. Tracking her schedule has been helpful, and while pee pads weren’t always reliable, using diapers helped guide her learning. With structure and patience, she continues to improve.

Anise is looking for a loving, steady home that will embrace her playful energy, nurture her sensitive heart, and help her continue to grow. In return, this tiny 9.3-pound sweetheart will give you endless affection, loyalty, and joy.
