This handsome black pup is ready to be your lifetime companion. Steve is a 7-month-old Black Labrador Retriever mix. Although he's currently still growing, he will likely weigh around 50lbs once full-grown. Steve loves to stay busy, whether playing with his favorite chew toys, balls, or stuffed squeaky toys; running around the yard, hanging out with humans, or spending time with his K9 foster pal. Do you want to play fetch? Steve is in! Take a road trip with the wind in your hair? Steve is in! Go for a sunset walk around the lake? Steve is in! That’s the amazing thing about Steve—he’s always up for a good time!

Steve knows how to sit and is doing great learning to walk on a leash. He would probably even love to be your walking or running partner. Afterwards, he’d be happy to snuggle up on the sofa and watch a movie. When you’re ready for bed, he will show you his great manners by sleeping quietly in his crate. That’s because Steve is always happy, no matter where he is or who he’s with.

Steve has some experience being around cats and is very curious. He may even attempt to play with them. Because of this, we’re unsure if he would be a good match for all cats or only those with certain temperaments. He does love everyone he meets and would be happy with human siblings as well. After all, Steve is the life of the party and constantly up for attention! Because he is so excited and energetic about experiencing everything the world has to offer, he would probably be happiest in an active home or one with a doggy sibling.

Steve is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. His adoption fee is $175. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters from PawsitiveTailsKC.org.
