Meet Daphne!

A radiant approximately one-year-old Chihuahua/Shepherd mix currently in Temecula, CA, whose essence is a golden burst of resilience wrapped in soft white accents and unstoppable puppy joy. This sweet girl already carries a story of strength that shines through in everything she does!

Weighing about 20 pounds and expected to stay a lovely medium size, Daphne is learning to walk with confidence again after surgery following an accident where she was hit by a car. The impact left her with a broken knee, a broken hip, and a hernia, all of which required careful surgical repair. She is making beautiful progress each day and grows stronger in her foster home with gentle guidance and careful activity limits. Short, calm walks are her routine right now, and she is committed to healing with grace. She may need joint support supplements and mindful weight management as she matures, and she will thrive with a family who stays proactive about her long term care.

Daphne is playful, silly, and full of sparkle! Tug of war is her absolute favorite, and she loves chasing her frisbee across the yard with joyful determination. She is wonderfully compatible with other dogs and would do well with a canine companion who can share games and cozy naps. She is also gentle and affectionate with children, greeting strangers with friendly curiosity.

This clever girl knows sit, come, and gentle, and she is eager to keep learning through positive reinforcement and training classes. She sleeps peacefully in her crate for short periods and is housetrained. Like any young pup, she has a mischievous streak. Socks and shoes sometimes mysteriously relocate to her treasure spot, and she has a talent for digging backyard “projects.”
