What we know: Transferred from Aurora Animal Shelter, litter of 3 — 2M, 1F. 6 weeks, too young to be fixed or vaccinated for rabies. UPDATE: Bruce was diagnosed with moderate mitral valve dysplasia (MVD-Murmur) in December of 2025. Which indicates a dynamic left ventricular outflow tract obstruction and mild left ventricular hypertrophy secondary to Mitral Valve Dysplasia. Bruce has been responding well to Atenolol which is a beta-blocker. This medication has been prescribed to prevent tachycardia (fast heart rates). Tachycardia causes increased stress on the heart muscle as well as increased energy needs of the myocardial cells. Preventing this will help keep the
myocardium healthier for longer. Puppy 969 will need to continue Atenolol and echo follows Until further notice from the Cardiologist.

From the foster: I'm Bruce...Bruce “All mighty”, as my fosters call me. I think they name me that, because I have a heart murmur that was diagnosed early. I am on and probably will be on mediation for awhile if not forever and I feel great. Don't let that steer you away, cause I am a normal healthy puppy. I love to play with my brother and foster siblings. I am very smart...I know how to sit, pee on pads (if the back door is not open) and even go outside when I need to. I definitely love my nap time too. I sleep in a big play pen at night with my brother, but when he is not here I get lonely....so if you have extra room in your bed I would be greatly appreciative. I sure do love to sleep at your feet or on you. I am very loyal. I think that is my best quality for sure. Please come and visit me, I would love to make you my forever family!!!!
