Meet mango
Mango is a stunning 1-year-old, 62-lb Golden Retriever with a heart of gold and a sensitive, gentle spirit. The world can feel a little big for him sometimes, and when he’s happy, excited, or shy, he adorably carries a “security toy” in his mouth to help him feel safe. Mango needs a home who will let him warm up at his own pace. With patience, he will be your shadow and best friend, but he is initially very shy with new people.
Mango is a medium-energy, goofy gentleman who loves backyard romps and long “sniffari” walks. Loud noises can still make him nervous, but he’s gaining confidence every day and is looking for a patient, kind leader to show him the world isn’t so scary.
He does best in a home where his people are around often, as he’s not a fan of being alone or crated.
Mango’s highlights:
- Dog-friendly (he needs a confident dog friend)
- Nearly potty trained
- Non-reactive on leash
- Pro cuddler & champion toy-carrier
REQUIREMENTS:
- A fenced yard
- A patient adopter who is home more often than not
- Another confident dog to learn from
- No children (teenagers are fine).
