Meet mikey
Mikey is a ten-month-old, 46-pound shepherd mix that was surrendered to a shelter because they were moving. It’s a shame they couldn’t take him with them, but luckily, he barely made it out of the shelter, and we have him now. Mikey is sweet and calm for a young dog. From the Foster: Mikey has a heart as big as his paws. This affectionate boy loves nothing more than being close to his people, and he will happily curl up in your lap if you let him. Mikey is an easygoing companion who can match your lifestyle. He is just as content being a loyal work-from-home buddy as he is joining you for an outdoor adventure or a jog. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has ignored cats on walks. His idea of a perfect day is relaxing in the grass, chewing on a stick, and enjoying your company nearby. Mikey is crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and is highly food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. He is still growing into his body and would thrive with additional training as he matures.
