Meet winnie
Meet Winnie, an 18-mo spayed German Shepherd × Rhodesian Ridgeback mix located in Waxahachie, Texas.
Winnie is a beautiful, highly-intelligent, affectionate young dog who bonds deeply with her people and has strong natural guarding instincts. She knows basic commands (such as sit), is healthy, and has no bite history. In the right home, she would be a devoted companion and protector.
Unfortunately, we live on acreage with livestock, and Winnie has a very strong prey drive. Despite our efforts, this environment is not safe for her or for the animals. She has also begun roaming, and the situation has become unsafe and urgent. We are extremely concerned for her well-being and are seeking immediate rescue placement, foster, or an experienced adopter in a non-livestock home.
Winnie needs a home without chickens, goats, cats, or small animals, a secure fenced yard or leash-managed environment. She would likely thrive in a home that values her loyalty and energy.
