Flako is a joyful, energetic Lab mix puppy who is ready to trade apartment life for the active, loving home he truly deserves. At just nine months old, Flako embodies everything people love about young Labs — enthusiasm, affection, playfulness, and an eagerness to be part of the action.
When Flako first meets new people, he can be a little shy, but give him a moment and he quickly blossoms into a sweet, affectionate companion. During his evaluation, he greeted his evaluator with a kiss on the nose after a brief sniff — a perfect snapshot of his gentle, loving nature. He enjoys attention, leans in for affection, and thrives on positive interaction.
Flako absolutely adores children and has lived successfully with kids, including one under the age of ten. Children aged 5+ are good with Flako. No experience with younger. He is playful, gentle, and happiest when someone is tossing a ball or stick for him to retrieve. He is also very dog-friendly and loves to play, making him a great candidate for a home with another active, social dog.
This young guy has puppy energy to spare and will do best with an adopter who enjoys an active lifestyle. Flako loves walks, hikes, swimming, and playtime, and he will benefit from continued basic training to help him polish his leash manners and communication skills. He is food motivated, eager to learn, and already knows several basic commands.
Because Flako is energetic and can be vocal, apartment living has proven challenging for him. A home with a fenced yard and regular outlets for exercise and enrichment would be ideal. In return, Flako promises loyalty, laughter, and endless tail wags.
