ready to be someone’s heart dog.
I was surrendered to North Central Shelter with a dog everyone thinks might be my dad. The shelter was scary for me… too loud, too chaotic, too confusing. I shut down completely and couldn’t show anyone who I really was. Things got so bad I landed on the euthanasia list.
But the second I walked out of those shelter doors with Akira Animal Rescue, everything changed.
My whole personality lit up — like, instantly. I finally felt safe, and the real me came out: sweet, gentle, playful, loving… all the things I couldn’t show in the shelter.
Here’s who I am now:
✨ I’m a big brother at heart.
I love the other dogs in my foster home, especially the younger ones. I’m patient, kind, and love teaching them how to play.
✨ I’m cat-friendly!
Yep. I think cats are pretty cool. I respect their space and don’t bother them.
✨ I bond deeply.
Once I trust you, I really trust you. I follow you, check in with you, and just want to be close.
✨ I’m gentle and easy to have around.
No chaos here — I’m a soft, loving boy who wants to fit in and make my humans happy.
✨ I’m ready for a stable, loving home.
I’ve learned that once I feel safe, I can shine. I just need someone who’ll give me that chance.
I’ve been through a lot, but I didn’t give up — I just needed someone to see me.
