Meet Chief - he is a shepherd puppy with a confident little spirit and a whole lot of charm. Curious and adventurous, he loves discovering new things and isn’t afraid to add a touch of playful mischief along the way. He’s affectionate by nature and enjoys both romping around with his dog pals and settling in close for cozy cuddle time.

Chief is off to a great start with potty training and will go outside when taken out consistently—he’s a bright boy who’s eager to learn. He enjoys the company of other dogs and is very intrigued by cats, watching them closely as he figures out how the world works. While he hasn’t met kids just yet, his friendly and outgoing personality suggests he’d do well with proper introductions.

As expected for a puppy his age, Chief is in a nippy phase, so his future family should be ready to continue positive, consistent training and provide healthy outlets for his energy.

Chief's Adoption fee is $300 if adopted by 1/30. Chief is eligible for our Puppy Starter Package, included in his $300 adoption fee. New puppy parents will go home with a small bag of puppy food, martingale collar, leash, a small Mumbies chew, and puppy treats — everything you need to start off with success from day one.

Spay/Neuter PolicyAny animal that has not been spayed or neutered at the time of adoption will require a signed Spay/Neuter Agreement and a refundable $100 deposit (payable by check or electronic payment). The procedure must be completed within six (6) months of the adoption date. Once Best Paws Rescue receives acceptable proof of the spay/neuter procedure, the deposit will be refunded to the adopter.Failure to comply with the terms of the Spay/Neuter Agreement within the required six (6) months will result in forfeiture of the deposit. If the procedure is performed by one of Best Paws Rescue’s approved veterinary partners, the full cost of the spay/neuter is covered by the adoption fee.

Ages and breeds are our best estimates, and we cannot make any guarantees. Most of our animals come from overcrowded shelters with limited resources. We do our best to evaluate each animal’s behavior and medical needs and place them into loving foster homes until they are ready to go home with you. Our organization is operated entirely by dedicated volunteers who give their time and love out of the goodness of their hearts.
