Meet Nova, a stunning 1-year-old black Shepherd mix that weighs 64 pounds. Nova truly shines in person. She is shepherd through and through—smart, athletic, and full of drive—with a medium to high energy level that keeps her ready for the next adventure. Nova is very strong on leash and will need a confident, experienced handler; prior shepherd experience is preferred. With consistency and guidance, she would greatly benefit from general obedience training to help her channel her energy and intelligence.Nova will thrive with an active family who enjoys walks, runs, and hikes and is excited to include her as a daily companion. Her compatibility with other dogs, cats, or children is currently unknown, so adopters should be prepared to help her settle in at her own pace. If you have another dog, you will need to schedule a meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along.
