Lucky is a sweet, petite Pekapoo who is just beginning to discover what it means to feel safe, cared for, and truly loved. She spent her early life as a breeding dog and is now getting her very first chance to experience comfort, kindness, and stability.
Now in foster care, Lucky is learning how to “dog,” and she’s doing wonderfully. She’s picking up on potty routines, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is slowly starting to understand that this new life is filled with good things.
Lucky is still a shy girl, taking the world in at her own pace, but there is something incredibly special about watching her begin to trust. She just needs a patient, gentle home where she can continue to grow and feel secure.
For the person willing to give her that time and understanding, Lucky will become a quiet, devoted companion—one whose love will be deeply meaningful and truly earned.

Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly.
