Meet poseidon
Poseidon is a 9-year-old male pitty mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for his people. In care he has been a joy—wiggly, snuggly, and eager for affection—and he truly shines in a calm, loving environment. Poseidon is fully potty trained and does well with kids, making him a wonderful companion for a family looking for a sweet and loyal friend. He previously lived successfully with a small dog for several years, though in his current environment he has shown some reactive behaviors toward other dogs, so we believe he would be happiest as the only dog in his new home. Poseidon can feel stressed during veterinary visits, and his care team is actively working on cooperative muzzle training to help make those experiences more comfortable for him. While he has no history with cats, he has lived peacefully around rats and lizards without issue. Poseidon is ready to settle into a home where he can relax, feel secure, and soak up all the love he deserves.
