Meet Duncan Idaho!

A tender-hearted seven-year-old Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix currently in Amboy, WA, who’s searching for a new loving home after the passing of his cherished guardian, a quiet soul whose loyal presence brought comfort every day. Now, wrapped in a soft tan coat and weighing just 20 pounds, Duncan is ready to bring that same steady companionship to a new family who will treasure his gentle spirit.

Duncan thrives in calm, loving environments where peace and predictability reign. He’s especially sensitive to loud noises (a strong sneeze might send him scooting!), so he’s seeking a tranquil home without small children. His ideal match? A quiet, cozy family or individual ready for a constant companion to share the little joys of daily life like a warm cuddle, a soft blanket, and a good squeaky toy to chase down and proudly deliver.

While he currently coexists respectfully with a senior Maltipoo, Duncan would really flourish in a home where he can be the center of someone’s world. That said, he might do well with a calm, respectful canine companion and has previously done just fine with a cat, giving them their space with quiet ease.

Playful yet gentle, Duncan adores fetching soft squeaky toys and might even try to start a game by plopping one in your lap. He’s crate trained at night, which supports his potty routine, and he enjoys two small meals of Blue Buffalo a day, especially when topped with tasty cooked meats. He's not formally trained but knows "sit" and seems to handle short periods alone without issue.

This timid yet affectionate little fellow needs a guardian who values the quiet bond that grows slowly and sweetly, the kind of love that speaks in soft pats and shared silences. Duncan is more than ready to begin his next chapter, bringing his loyal heart and gentle playfulness into a home where he can shine.
