Meet Addie!Addie is a sweet female Lab mix who currently weighs 55 pounds and will celebrate her 4th birthday on Jan 27th. She came to us as an owner surrender due to her previous owner’s health issues, and she’s now looking for a loving forever home.Addie is crate trained and housetrained, and she’s an incredibly polite girl—she even waits for her cue before eating and patiently waits to be taken outside to potty. She knows several commands, including sit, paw, stay, and stop. Addie loves to snuggle, enjoys sleeping in bed with her person, and adores ear and chin scratches.She has a medium to high energy level and enjoys quiet time, playing with toys, going on walks, and anything involving water. She is dog-friendly and will require a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs. Addie can be strong on the leash and may pull at times, so continued leash training will help her thrive. She would do best in a home with older children.Addie must have a fenced-in yard and a home with NO CATS, as she does not get along with them. She can be nervous in the shelter environment, but she warms up quickly with attention and affection.Addie is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows you to bring her home while she completes her remaining vetting, including microchipping, heartworm testing, and updated vaccines.
