Hi, I’m Sadie! I’m a Dachshund mix weighing about 20 lbs and will be 5 years old in the spring. I am very affectionate and love to snuggle. I am easy to take care of, I love to sleep in and I don’t bark. I only need a few walks a day to take care of business and smell the outdoors. All my shots are current, I’m spayed and I’m house-trained. I’m loyal and also protective of my owner. Sometimes this makes me growl at other dogs that I don’t know and it’s best to keep me at a distance from them. I can also be a little shy around strangers and I like the chance to warm up to them first. My current owner is getting up in years and can’t take me for very long walks anymore so I’m starting to put on some weight. I would benefit from a younger owner who can take me for longer walks. I think a fenced in yard would also be good for me. Are you ready for a sweet, loving dog who is happy to curl up by your side all day long?
