Meet smitty
I got him from the Idaho Humane Society in June 2025. But unfortunately, I have had health problems arise that concerns me that I cannot take good car of him anymore. He is a smart, loving, protective dog. He really likes the cats he lives with and is really loving and friendly to people that he knows. He is quite protective and is a great guard dog. Great Pyreneese are bred to guard sheep and it really shows in him. He is very vigilant and barks when someone comes near the property. He also watches animals and if they get too close to the property he will bark at them as well. He will lay down with the cats at home. I can see him taking care of a chicken coop or a small herd of livestock. He is 7 years old according to the Idaho Humane Society. He has a lot of energy and loves to run every day. He really likes to have his breakfast and dinner on time. He loves treats but does not appear to tolerate dairy in his diet. He knows basic commands and is great on a leash. Needs fenced in.
