Meet helen
Helen is a five-year-old, 58-pound mix that was turned into the shelter with three other dogs when their owner was incapacitated in a car wreck. The shelter was full, and they didn’t need to be held for possible reclaim, so they were on their way to the vet to be euthanized. We stepped in and took all four, knowing they were well-behaved dogs who lived with him and were constant companions. Helen is in our boarding, and although she would much rather be back in a home, she is making the best of it by getting along with all the dogs in the pack and keeping her kennel neat.
